Sunday, featuring Shelley Long, Bonnie Somerville, Jordan Bridges, Haylie Duff and Sam McMurray. And not to be outdone, Hallmark Channel presents "Holiday Engagement" at 8 p.m. Sunday, starring Elisa Donovan, Gabrielle Carteris, Sarah Thompson and Fred Willard. Mostly rerun network Ion Television has a new holiday story in "12 Wishes of Christmas" at 9 p.m. Saturday's Hallmark Channel film, "Debbie Macombe's Trading Christmas" stars Ed Cavanagh, Faith Ford, Gil Bellows and Gabrielle Miller in a pair of romantic stories based on a cross-country house swap at Christmastime. Basically, the book tells us that Santa knows who's naughty or nice by sending a scout elf to every home. The book set (elf included) sprung out of a tradition Carol Aebersold began with her family in the 1970s and turned into a book product in 2005. "Elf on the Shelf" (8:30 Friday on CBS) is another story based on a commercial product, a moveable elf doll, but it has an interesting pedigree. Friday at 8 on Hallmark Channel comes "Jingle All the Way," which is an animated special about a "spirited Husky puppy looking for a home at a Christmas tree farm (who) instantly bonds with a young boy visiting with his parents." It's based on the Hallmark for-sale item Jingle, the Husky Pup.
